There are almost no East Asian male nude life drawing models on Long Island. I am one of them.

Asian male sexuality is a conversation that keeps coming up, and rightfully so. The tropes are familiar: desexualized, feminized, filtered through K-pop aesthetics or Hollywood erasure.

But here's another layer most people don't know: I have #Tourettesyndrome Diagnosed since I was twelve. Neurodivergent, a warrior, an advocate.

Think about that for a second. The one thing a figure drawing model has to do is hold still. And the condition I've lived with my entire life makes that the hardest thing in the world.

But maybe that's exactly why I can do this. Tourette's didn't disqualify me from standing on that platform. In a way, it trained me. Every session is a negotiation with my own nervous system, and I show up anyway, belly out, imperfections visible, fully present.

My imperfection is my perfection.

As an Asian male, as someone neurodivergent, figure modeling has become something I never expected: therapy. 

On that platform, hardly any tics. Just me, the pose, and my moment.
